Guru travel is a service program focused on personal growth and leadership.
The foundation of our program is saving elephants and teaching english as a second language.
While doing this we also invite each participant to create their own personal project to work on during the trip. We provide the support and feedback to make sure the projects is successfully completed by the time the trip is over.
Projects can be service goals, such as teaching 10 children the english alphabet, or documentary film or photography projects.
Some examples of past projects are documentary films, mixed media photo and film projects, animal research, cross cultural dance, learning to cook Sri Lankan food or participating in our ongoing projects such as Project Orange Elephant or our future dog and cat home.
We are fortunate to have a multi talented staff who can help with a variety of goals. If you can think it we can support it.
Investment
All fees include; air and ground transportation to Sri Lanka, private bus tours while in Sri Lanka, lodging in the field house and in hotels while on excursions, 3 delicious meals a day. entrance fees to tourist sites, daily jeep rides to our work sites, safari's to the national parks and all staff support including private chefs and translators.
The fees for 2016 are $5,000 which includes airfare. All fees are treated as donations to the Sri Lanka Wildlife Conservation Society(501 3c) and are tax deductible as a charitable donation.
